Our History
Wilshire met for the first time in our current location on September 19, 1965.
James O. Baird presented the initial sermon to the 359 in attendance that day.
Later that month, with Raymond Kelcy conducting a gospel meeting in Carlsbad, NM,
Brother George Bryan gave the Sunday sermons.
Brother Kelcy passed on in 1986; Brother Baird's son Jim now preaches for the congregation,
and George Bryan is actively involved in Wilshire's Radio program, spreading the the good news
to the world by shortwave radio broadcasts.
